The Merrie Harriers is a historic grade II listed building originally owned by Sir James Duke and dating back to 1624. It has served as an inn for many years and was once a meeting place for the East Sussex Hounds. The inn features original beams and an inglenook fireplace, as well as a window from the old Cowbeech church. It offers quality home cooked food, great beers and ales, and hosts special events and a new guest ale every month. The pub-restaurant serves Modern British cuisine in a traditional 16th-century interior.
