The Long Shop Museum, winner of the Family Friendly Suffolk Museum of the Year 2016, offers a wide-ranging collection of objects, including full-size steam engines and mementoes of the town's working people. The Grade II* listed engineering workshop, the Long Shop, is filled with fascinating exhibits and tells the story of the area's history, including the nuclear power station at Sizewell and Leiston's airfield during World War II. The museum offers something for everyone and is a fascinating day out for all. Located near Aldeburgh in Suffolk, the museum showcases over 200 years of the town's life and work, celebrating its industrial heritage through special events and interactive exhibits on the Industrial Revolution.
