Business Description
The Hastings Fishermen's Museum, located on Hastings Stade, is a small independent museum dedicated to the fishing industry and maritime history of Hastings in East Sussex. Open daily, the museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore the last Hastings sailing lugger, Enterprise, and view a variety of displays, photographs, and model boats. The museum also features a listed Net Shop and provides insight into the town's history of smuggling. Additionally, visitors can browse a souvenir shop offering a range of memorabilia, fossils, gemstones, and local history books. The museum, which opened in 1956, is housed in the former fishermen's church of St Nicholas and continues to host baptisms and an annual carol service.
