Dart Harbour & Navigation Authority is a Trust Port in South Devon, encompassing around ten miles of the River Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth. It was originally constituted by Act of Parliament in 1897 and amalgamated with the River Dart Navigation Commission to form the Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority on 1st August 1975. The port serves as a busy hub for local fishing vessels and naval shipping, as well as a popular stopover for smaller cruise ships and private luxury yachts. The River Dart is navigable from Dartmouth to the weir at Totnes, making it an ideal and attractive destination for a variety of maritime activities.
