Woodsure

Woodsure was established by Harvey Shopfitters Limited to address the need for a nationally recognised quality standard in the woodfuel industry. The company saw an opportunity to provide shredded woodfuel as a free resource to schools, and recognized the need for a comprehensive and rigorous quality standard that could be implemented without undue administrative burden. The Woodsure scheme was set up to fulfill this need and has since been taken over by HETAS. As a not-for-profit organization, Woodsure is dedicated to improving the quality of woodfuel in the industry and providing information, guidance, and advice to producers and suppliers. Additionally, the organization has launched a Ready to Burn initiative to help homeowners look after their stoves and improve air quality.
