Woodchurch Windmill is a fully restored smock windmill that is open from Easter until the end of September on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from 1pm-5pm. Parties and group bookings are available by prior arrangement, and access to the mill is via a footpath next to the Six Bell's pub. The mill, built around 1820, was in full working order until 1926 and survived the Second World War intact. It is the only windmill in Kent to be listed as an Ancient Monument. Inside, visitors can explore the mill's rich history and see photos of the complete restoration. The mill is located in a beautiful setting and is a great start or end to exploring the Kent countryside. Donations are gratefully received to keep the mill in working order, and annual support and membership options are available. The mill is also a muse for artists and photographers.
