The Vintage Motor Cycle Club (VMCC) was founded on 28th April 1946, with the aim of promoting the use and preservation of vintage motorcycles manufactured prior to December 1930. Over the years, the club has expanded its activities to include rallies, hill climbs, trials, a workshop and museum, a library, and more. Today, the club has over 16,000 members and has broadened its rules to include all motorcycles over 25 years old, as well as setting up a Post 1960 Section for motorcycles manufactured between 1961 and 1981. The most popular section is British Historic Racing, which provides the spectacle of vintage race machines being ridden hard at major circuits in the UK.
