Business Description

Umlunguart is a Zimbabwe born abstract expressionist artist and photographer, currently residing in the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. The nickname "Umlungu" was given to them during their time working in South Africa. Their inspiration for each painting comes from various aspects of life, with each piece serving as a unique expression of themselves in that moment. They do not follow a specific planning process, instead relying on creative luck and impulsive, messy mayhem to guide their work. Using mixed media on stretched canvas, they employ a variety of implements to achieve their desired effect, with a focus on color, texture, and contrast in their compositions.
