UCL Urban Laboratory

The UCL Urban Laboratory, established in 2005, is a world-leading centre for cross-disciplinary urban research, teaching, and impact at UCL. The initiative aims to encourage critical, independent, and interdisciplinary thinking and research. The laboratory investigates, proposes, and disseminates critical solutions to a wide range of urban and built environment issues, with a focus on the grand challenges of our time. It promotes participatory approaches to urban research and works in partnership with non-academic, business, and community-based organizations.
