Transparency International UK has been actively engaged in addressing corruption in the defence and security sector since 2000. They have worked with governments, international organizations, defence companies, and civil society to raise awareness of corruption, develop practical tools to reduce corruption risks, and enhance transparency and integrity in defence institutions. Their work includes collaborating with national defence ministries and armed forces, developing tools with international organizations, encouraging collaboration among defence companies, and strengthening civil society's ability to engage on defence issues. Through their research program, they have developed new tools and expertise to implement anti-corruption change in the defence and security sector. Their vision is to create a world where governments, armed forces, and arms transfers are transparent, accountable, and free from corruption.
