The Thrive Approach was created in 1994 by four originators concerned about the increasing number of children being excluded from schools at a young age. Drawing on their expertise in social work, family therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, and education, they developed an approach that incorporates up-to-date research and best practices. Originally operating under the banner 'Fronting The Challenge', the approach has evolved with diverse contributions from practitioners in relevant fields. Thrive provides practical tools and resources for adults working with vulnerable children, offering 'right time' support, progress monitoring, and early intervention for those with adverse childhood experiences. The approach aims to nurture supportive relationships and help children better cope with life's challenges.
