Business Description
The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft, located on the former RAF Sandtoft site, was established in 1969 with the help of transport preservation societies. The museum boasts a large collection of trolleybuses, including the world's largest collection of historic trolleybuses, with vehicles dating back to 1927 and as recent as 1985. The museum features a specially constructed operating circuit for trolleybus services, as well as a variety of trolleybus era memorabilia and a 1950’s themed area. The museum aims to be nationally acknowledged as the Museum of the Trolleybus and provides excellent value and service to visitors. Staffed entirely by volunteers, the museum is only open on specified dates and also features diesel buses and other historic vehicles, a cafe, and a shop.
