Situated 200 yards from the Phoenix Cycle trail, it is an ideal stop for a break and refreshments. The pub offers a warm, friendly atmosphere, with a reception area, restaurant, bar, and 14th-century barn. The large, newly refurbished garden features an enclosed children's play area, fenced stream, and bandstand, making it a great outdoor space for visitors. The pub is also the official home of the Towersey Morris men and regularly hosts them and their guests for performances. Additionally, the pub hosts the popular "open mic" evenings and offers a variety of menus to suit different dietary requirements. They also provide a take-away service for customer convenience.
