Under the new ownership of Scott and Kirsty, the pub is undergoing large-scale renovations, including the 20 hotel rooms above the pub. The basement bar hosts a variety of events, including band nights and DJs, and offers free room hire. The pub prides itself on a friendly atmosphere, a selection of real ales, homemade food, and newly refurbished hotel rooms. The head chef, Paul, brings over 15 years of culinary experience and a focus on using the freshest local produce from the Lake District.
