Business Description
The Stained Glass Museum, founded in 1972, is located in the north triforium of Ely Cathedral and is the only museum in the UK dedicated to displaying and interpreting the art of stained glass to the public. The museum's collection spans from the thirteenth to the twentieth century, showcasing the development of stained glass over time. In 1997, an Appeal was set up to relocate the museum to the south triforium of Ely Cathedral. The museum also houses a growing collection of tools, stained glass designs, and cartoons related to the design and making of stained glass windows, as well as a specialist library available to researchers by appointment.
