    Business Description

    The Pug & Greyhound is a historic Grade II listed building in Great Glen, standing for over 400 years. Originally an Ale House, it became a prominent coaching inn in the mid-1700s, catering to stage coaches and mail coaches. Despite the decline in fortunes with the advent of railways, it remains a popular drinking establishment and has added a restaurant and converted stables into bedrooms. The name "The Greyhound" comes from the Nele family's Coat of Arms, and the area was subject to flooding until the 1980s when improvements were made to the River Sence drainage. The inn has a rich history, including hosting the Fernie Hunt and being known for the quality of its beers.
