The Monument is a 202ft column designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Dr Robert Hooke, standing on the piazza between Fish Street Hill and Monument Street. Every year, over 150,000 visitors climb the 311 spiral steps to the observation gallery, 160 feet above the ground, to enjoy unique and exhilarating views of London. The 360 degree views allow visitors to take in the spectacular panoramas of London past and present.
