In 1989, The Julie Bruce Dance/Drama Academy was established in Banbury, Oxfordshire, and has since welcomed over 200 pupils, with many achieving professional qualifications in dance. In 2006, a branch was opened in Spain, where pupils took examinations and competed in dance competitions all over Europe, including Disneyland Paris. Some students have gone on to gain teaching qualifications and are now running the academy in Spain. In January 2015, the academy will be returning to England, offering classes in various dance styles, gymnastics, musical theatre/drama, and teacher training. The academy is led by a fully qualified dance teacher with the International Dance Teachers Association, offering examinations and classes for all ages.
