Business Description

The Gaiety Theatre, located in the heart of Ayrshire, is one of the oldest theatres in Scotland and the last of its kind on the British Mainland. After a forced closure in 2009, the theatre was reborn with support from local and national government. Ayr Gaiety Partnership, a charity formed by local residents, aims to re-energize the performing arts in South Ayrshire. The theatre has 584 seats in the Main Auditorium and 75 in the Studio Theatre, and also oversees programming for four additional South Ayrshire venues. The adjoining Stage Door Café offers fantastic food in a relaxed setting, and the theatre is home to the Ayrshire Youth Arts Network and 'Act Out!' Community Theatre.
