Business Description
The Tarbat Discovery Centre, located in the refurbished Tarbat Old Parish Church, is a museum and activity centre dedicated to preserving and displaying the heritage of the Tarbat peninsula. It is the site of the only fully excavated Pictish monastic settlement in Scotland, now a National Monument. The Centre houses artefacts uncovered during extensive archaeological investigations, local exhibitions, parish records, photographic archives, and more, with a main focus on the history of the Tarbat Peninsula. The Centre is funded by public donations, revenue from paying visitors, and proceeds from its shop, and is owned by Tarbat Historic Trust Limited.
