Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, located in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, is a VisitScotland '4 Star' visitor attraction and 'Best Working Attraction' award-winner. With 22 acres based around the site of the 19th Century Summerlee Ironworks, the museum offers interactive exhibits, working machinery, a re-created adit mine and miners' cottages, and an electric tramway. The museum is open from 10am to 5pm from 1 April to 31 October, and until 4pm until the end of March. Admission is free, making it one of Scotland's leading 'free-to-enter' attractions.
