Business Description
The St Michael & All Angels Church in Haworth is the Church of England Parish Church for the area, with a building erected in the Perpendicular style between 1879 and 1881 by Rev John Wade. It replaced the original building where Rev. Patrick Bronte preached, and it contains the Bronte family tomb where two of the three famous sister authoresses are interred. The church is currently engaged in a five-year restoration programme, with completed repairs to the south-facing roofs and tower, and ongoing work on the north-facing roofs. The Church is expected to be closed in Spring 2015 for the completion of the north-facing roof repairs, which will also include improved toilet and catering facilities. The partner church, St Gabriel's in Stanbury, is also undergoing a roof repair programme.
