Spirit Aid

Spirit Aid, founded in 2001 by David Hayman and friends, is a voluntary, humanitarian organisation dedicated to supporting children and young people around the world. Through humanitarian projects in places like Kosovo, Guinea Bissau, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Scotland, Spirit Aid has vastly improved the quality of life for thousands of families. The organisation is committed to giving children and families a chance at better education, health, and life quality. Spirit Aid identifies needs on the ground and targets resources within local communities to make a real difference in health and living conditions. The organisation relies solely on the goodwill and donations of its supporters, committing nearly 100% of all donations to humanitarian aid. Spirit Aid has won the 2010 Scottish charity of the year award.
