Sparkworld Ltd was founded in 1985 by Marian Crausaz and Ian James, who had previously operated Torbay Tubes. Leveraging their contacts from Torbay Tubes, they established Sparkworld as a distributor of reconditioned machines in Cornwall. Over the years, the company expanded into retail and wholesale, ultimately acquiring a large showroom and warehouse in Heathfield Industrial Estate. In 2003, Sparkworld opened a new appliance store in Martock, Somerset, and has since become a kitchen and appliance specialist with two large showrooms in Devon and Somerset.
