Site Gallery's exhibition programme, led by Artistic Director Laura Sillars, focuses on working with emergent and established artists to produce new work for solo and group exhibitions. The gallery's Platform residency programme allows visitors to interact with artists at the work-in-progress stage, and the education programme provides new opportunities for young people to engage with contemporary art. With major investment secured in 2014, Site Gallery is set to treble in scale by 2017, greatly enhancing the contemporary visual art experience in the region. The gallery specializes in moving image, new media, and performance, and works in partnership with local, regional, and international collaborators to nurture artistic talent and support the development of contemporary art.
