High Wycombe Shopmobility, a registered charity, has been offering free daily loan of electric scooters, manual and powered wheelchairs since 1994. The equipment can be used in and around High Wycombe town centre for shopping, business, or leisure purposes, promoting independence and enhancing daily living for those with limited mobility. The service is available to anyone, regardless of disability registration, and is supported by donations towards the annual running costs. The charity operates 7 days a week, with morning and afternoon sessions, and also offers overnight or longer term hire of manual wheelchairs for a small charge.
