Severn Gorge Countryside Trust

The Severn Gorge Countryside Trust is dedicated to conserving and enhancing landscape, wildlife, and public access in special areas under its management. The Trust also aims to highlight the cultural importance of these areas. All landholdings are open to the public, with a network of waymarked paths and trails established in Ironbridge, Coalbrookdale, Jackfield, Coalport, Madeley, Barrow, and Broseley. SGCT manages over fifty per cent of the land within the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site on a 999 year lease, which was a key location in the Industrial Revolution.
