The ancient oaks of RSPB Swell Wood form part of a continuous woodland strip spanning 10 miles along the ridge from Langport to the Blackdown Hills. The site offers a spectacular wildlife spectacle from March to June, with nesting herons and little egrets, as well as a stunning display of fungi in the autumn.
