Red Dog Music is Edinburgh's largest general music store, offering over 5,000 square feet of musical equipment ranging from electric guitars to keyboards, studio recording gear to lighting, and percussion to PA equipment. The store carries all the big brands as well as smaller ones, and features private demo rooms and analogue synths for customers to try out. Red Dog Music was voted "Best Independent Retailer" in the Music Industries Association's annual awards ceremony and prides itself on being the UK's friendliest musical instruments and equipment retailer. Founded in 2008, the store is owned and run by musicians who are dedicated to providing friendly service and caring about their staff, suppliers, and the wider music community. With a motto of "The Friendly Music Store," Red Dog Music aims to offer a welcoming environment to musicians of all ages and backgrounds.
