Quaker Social Action

Quaker Social Action (QSA) is a Bethnal Green-based organization that runs several projects aimed at supporting low-income families in East London and beyond. Their longest running project, Homestore, sells affordable furniture to families in need. The Made of Money project offers financial education and includes a national training program to share its approach across the UK, with a geographical spin off in Moneytalk Bournemouth. Down to Earth provides immediate and practical support to those facing funeral poverty, while This Way Up supports people struggling to work towards their goals. QSA's Fair Funerals campaign aims to address funeral poverty and put the issue at the top of the public, parliament, and funeral industry agenda. Their vision is "a just world, where people put people first," and their mission is to enable people on low incomes to seek solutions to the issues affecting their lives by running practical, sustainable, and collaborative projects. They also aim to share their work with others to bring benefits to communities outside of their own.
