The Old White Bear is a historic and iconic public house and restaurant located in the village of Cross Hills. Built in 1735, it has served as a hotel, brothel, council meeting place, and dance hall. The building is full of character and history, with some of its beams believed to come from a ship that fought in the battles against The Spanish Armada. With thick walls and a sun-trap beer garden, it offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere for patrons. The pub has received numerous awards, including the Pub Of The Year accolade from the Keighley and Craven branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) in 2009.
