Business Description
The Northern School of Game and Wildlife, part of Newton Rigg College, offers one of the best-resourced colleges for studying gamekeeping in the UK. Located in Penrith, Cumbria, students have access to a 500-acre driven partridge shoot, clay pigeon shooting ground, and a deer stalking let at Greystoke Forest. The college has also taken on a grouse moor at Shap Abbey and Wet Sleddale, providing students with opportunities to learn heather burring, upland pest control, and grouse management. The campus offers residential accommodation, shotgun storage, gundog kennels, and dedicated classrooms. The college offers apprenticeships in Gamekeeping and full-time courses for young people wanting to start a career in the game industry. With a range of existing courses, great teaching, and fantastic facilities, Newton Rigg College is proud to be part of Askham Bryan College, the largest land-based college in the UK.
