The core of the house is a remarkable survival from the medieval period, and was purchased by Abraham Elton in 1709, remaining the much-loved family home of his descendants today. This outstanding 14th-century manor house and 18th-century terraced garden is normally open to the public three afternoons a week and on Monday bank holidays during the summer season, but is currently closed until the 2022 summer season. The property features a collection of Nailsea glass, family portraits, and a terraced garden.
