Business Description

NATECLA is committed to promoting equality of opportunity in education and supporting the educational rights of asylum seekers and refugees. The organization helps its members address the challenges of delivering ESOL in areas where there has been little demand. NATECLA also supports the Ruth Hayman Trust, which provides grants to individuals who would otherwise be unable to study or train in the country. The trust was founded in memory of Ruth Hayman, a prominent advocate for racial equality and justice. NATECLA serves as the national forum and professional organization for ESOL teachers, offering expertise and participating in new developments in the field for over 30 years. The organization is governed by a National Constitution and operates regional branches throughout the UK, encouraging members to be involved in shaping the future of the organization.
