Business Description
Music In Detention is an organization dedicated to using music as a tool for giving immigration detainees a voice and breaking down prejudice about immigration and asylum. Since 2005, they have been bringing expert musicians into detention centers and have involved over 6,000 detainees and close to 2,000 community participants in over 400 workshops, producing 13 CDs of new music. Their mission is to build supportive relationships between detainees and the surrounding community in order to improve detainees' wellbeing and change attitudes towards migrants.
