La Lanterna, established in 1970 at the foot of Hope Street, is Glasgow's oldest family-run Italian restaurant and the city's premier destination for authentic Italian cuisine. It has been named Best Italian Restaurant at the Glasgow Restaurant Awards 2012 and Scotland’s Best Italian Restaurant in The Official Scottish Entertainment Guide Awards in 2013. Owners Christopher Martinolli & Luca Conreno (Best Chef - 2013 Italian Awards) are dedicated to maintaining the restaurant's fine traditions and delivering food and service of the highest quality for over forty years.
