Kirby Hall is one of England's greatest Elizabethan and 17th-century houses, previously owned by Sir Christopher Hatton, Lord Chancellor to Queen Elizabeth I. The mansion, although partly roofless, showcases rich decoration and recently restored great gardens with elaborate 'cutwork' design. The Great Hall and state rooms have been refitted and redecorated to authentic 17th and 18th-century specifications, offering tours for visitors to explore the elaborate interiors and formal gardens.
