Irwell Works Brewery is a historic microbrewery located in an old engineering works built in 1888. They produce a range of eight beers, including limited edition brews with an engineering theme. Since opening in 2010, they have won awards for their session bitter and have become a popular stop for beer lovers following the East Lancashire Railway 'Rail Ale Trail'.
