Hardcastle Crags is a stunning beauty spot in the South Pennines, offering over 160 hectares of unspoilt woodland walks for visitors of all ages. The area is home to the northern hairy wood ant, as well as tumbling streams, waterfalls, and millstone grit formations. At the heart of the valley lies Gibson Mill, which showcases the history of the area over the past 200 years and offers refreshments at the Weaving Shed Cafe. The mill is also a unique sustainable building, not connected to the national grid.
