Business Description
Green's Windmill and Science Centre, built in 1807 by a Nottingham baker, was inherited by his son George, who became a famous mathematician. After a period of neglect, the mill was restored and reopened in 1985, with milling starting again in 1986. Today, the site offers entertainment and discovery, including award-winning organic flour available for purchase, mill workings demonstrations, and puzzles in the Science Centre. The working windmill is the only inner city windmill in the UK, producing award-winning spelt and wheat flour. The site provides a fun and free day out for the whole family, with interactive exhibits and activities for all ages.
