Nat and Owen's journey to St. Agnes and the opening of Genki began with their adventurous move to Japan after university. They fell in love with the country and its culture, but disaster struck in 2011 with a devastating earthquake and tsunami. This led them to return to the UK and eventually open Genki in Cornwall, bringing some of the Zen they experienced in Japan back with them. The café bar aims to provide a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, inspired by the Zen gardens of Kyoto, and offers a place to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of St. Agnes.
