The aims and objectives of V4GCL are to promote the use of libraries and support library staff in Suffolk, specifically Gainsborough Community Library. This includes developing cooperation between libraries and their communities, facilitating communication between local people and the library, encouraging the use of the library by underrepresented groups, recruiting and organizing volunteers, fundraising, obtaining sponsorship and donations, and helping to safeguard the future of libraries. Due to the current situation, all events are currently suspended, but the library offers various activities such as Top Time social time for over 55s, Bookstart for parents and preschool children, Club4Teenz for teenagers, and weekend children's craft sessions. Additionally, the library provides various resources and services such as books, CDs, DVDs, free computer access, wifi, printing, scanning, eReader lending, room hire, and activities for older people and health & wellbeing groups.
