Business Description

Ely Museum, located in the historic Bishop's Gaol, originally opened in 1997 and was previously housed in the former Choir School of Ely Cathedral. The museum closed for redevelopment and reopened in autumn 2020 with new galleries and interactive exhibitions showcasing the history of the Fens and the people who shaped the landscape. Supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the museum offers a bright and friendly experience for visitors to explore the local history of Ely and The Fens from pre-history to the 20th century.
