Business Description
Elgin Cathedral, also known as The Lantern of the North, is a historic ruin in Elgin, Moray, north-east Scotland. The cathedral was established in 1224, and after a major rebuilding, it was damaged by fires in 1270, 1390, and 1402. It was abandoned after the Reformation in 1560 and fell into decay, but preservation efforts began in the 19th century. Visitors can admire the west front, decorations, and chapter house, as well as a collection of carved stones and enjoy rooftop views. The cathedral is a picturesque remnant of a 13th-century church with two towers, vaulted archways, and stone carvings.
