Edinburgh School of Icon Painting

The Edinburgh School of Icon Painting, founded in September 2013, is a small school located in St. Margaret's House with a mission to teach icon painting to individuals of all backgrounds while maintaining the spirituality of the art form. Founder and teacher Basia Mindewicz, a member of the British Association of Iconographers, has extensive experience in icon painting and has organized workshops and exhibitions in Poland and Scotland. The school offers courses in egg tempera technique and aims to make icon painting more accessible to students of all levels, regardless of their experience in drawing or painting.
