Business Description
East Pool Mine is home to impressive Cornish beam engines and an industrial heritage discovery center. The site, located at the heart of the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, features two towering engine houses that house the engines, originally powered by high-pressure steam boilers introduced by Richard Trevithick. Now under the care of the National Trust, East Pool Mine offers visitors the chance to see the third largest pumping engine of its type in the world, as well as film and interactive displays. The site also offers family activities and trails, making it a must-visit destination for those interested in Cornwall's industrial history.
