The Coventry Jitsu club, part of the national-level Jitsu Foundation, offers training in the Japanese martial art of Jiu-Jitsu at the Coventry University Sports and Recreation Centre. The club aims to provide students with a comprehensive and effective self-defence system, as well as opportunities for personal and physical development. Training sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday during term time, with the first two sessions being free. In addition to regular training, the club also offers a fun and active social life outside of the dojo, including weekly social nights and competitions. The Sports and Recreation Centre at Coventry University offers a wide range of activities for all sporting tastes, encouraging members to take part in physical activity and regular exercise.
