Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom (CSC) manages Britain’s contribution to the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP), supporting over 900 awards annually. The CSC offers seven types of awards, including scholarships for PhD research and Master’s study, and provides support for UK citizens to study in other Commonwealth countries. The CSC is a non-departmental public body and its Secretariat is provided by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, with overseas services provided by the British Council. The CSFP is an international programme established in 1959 and is reviewed by Commonwealth education ministers at their triennial meetings.
