Business Description
Cats Action Trust (N & W Wilts) is a volunteer-run cat rescue charity based in North and West Wiltshire. Established in 1981 and registered as a charity in 1995, the organization rescues and re-homes abandoned cats and kittens. Each cat undergoes thorough vet checks, including blood tests for FIV and FeLV, and is neutered to help reduce the spread of contagious diseases and control the number of unwanted kittens. The organization has carers around the district who provide foster homes and other support, ensuring that 99% of the cats taken in are re-homed. Prospective homes are carefully checked before cats can be re-homed, and the organization strives to match temperaments of cats and new owners. A £40 adoption fee is payable per cat or kitten, and the organization regrets that it is unable to rehome cats/kittens to families with children under 5 years of age.
