The Carlton Coffee House is a historic mansion in London that served as the town residence of the Prince Regent for several decades from 1783. Located in the St. James's district, the house was rebuilt by the architect Henry Holland and was known for its opulence and spaciousness. However, it was demolished in 1825 and replaced with two grand white stuccoed terraces of expensive houses known as Carlton House Terrace. The proceeds of the leases were put towards the cost of Buckingham Palace.
